Passaic Auditorium with Extensive Storm Damage on Wood Floor

Storm damage hit this Passaic auditorium hard with a large amount of water that seeped under the hardwood floorboards. SERVPRO technicians used a combination of water removal equipment and manual tools such as the mop seen in the Before Photo. The use of moisture detection confirmed what the wood floorboards were hinting at, and the floorboards needed removal to dry the subfloor underneath. The technicians moved out the chairs and tables to another area to have more open space to perform the water damage mitigation services. SERVPRO techs set up drying equipment in closely placed groups with several air movers emitting warm, dry air that caused embedded moisture to rise where the dehumidifier captured the water vapor.
