Fair Lawn Storm Damage Needs Controlled Demo From SERVPRO

This Fair Lawn bathroom received the brunt of storm damage. The techs arrived and found evidence of a large amount of water behind the bathroom sink and tile wall. The techs used controlled demolition techniques to remove only the deteriorated portions of the structure. This meant the wall, tile, insulation, sink and mirror had to get removed so the interior of the wall could get dried. In this case, even with the use of multiple air movers and dehumidifiers in this limited space, the drying time took place over the course of several days. During this time the techs take readings and monitor the moisture content in the air carefully to ensure the structure gets completely dried before moving on to the next step and prepping the room for the needed repairs and reconstruction.
