A gameroom in Chelmsford had a surprise water damage incident when the instant hot water lever got stuck and a large amount of water ran through the floor above through the ceiling and landed on the hardwood floor and pool table cover. SERVPRO technicians found significant deterioration to the ceiling and floor in the gameroom, but fortunately the cover over the pool table protected it and it merely needed to get raised on blocks during drying. The techs performed controlled demolition on the ceiling and removed the hardwood floorboards due to seepage. Electronics such as the wall-mounted television remained in place during the mitigation but got covered to ensure no damage occurred from the moisture or dust raised during the removal of the building materials.
